*** Lake Erie ***
2004 Trips:
 April
of 2004 saw the launch of the Get~Aweigh iI in lake Erie.
this photo diary shows her being lifted by
a hoist and lowered into the water. there are also a few shots of lake
erie around the Marblehead peninsula and the Marblehead lighthouse.
 In
June we started exploring our new boating venue. This Photo Diary
shows some scenes of Kelly's
island, south bass, and other locations around east harbor.
 We
continued our weekend cruises to get used to the lake, and become familiar
with the area. This Photo Diary shows some more scenes of the
islands near Marblehead.
 In
July, we visited put-in-bay on south bass island and spent the
night. during the night a storm rolled in and the next morning we
returned to Marblehead in rain and 3 foot waves. different than
boating the river but we're
learning.
 Also
In July, we made our first visit to Leamington, Ontario, about
35 miles across lake Erie. two big firsts for us: we got to use our
i-68 forms for exiting and entering the US and we made our first cruise
across lake Erie. For the Get~Aweigh II it meant the return to her
place of origin, Canada.
