We've bought a house on a lake in Northwest Ohio and so we're changing our boating style from Great Lakes cruising to a pontoon boat at the back door.  The Get~Aweigh III is for sale and if you're in the market for an exceptional express cruiser, large enough for the Great Lakes, and with all the amenities, this might be the boat for you.

The folks at South Shore Marine in Huron, Ohio are brokering her and show her to you.  To get to them, just click the sale sign.

1998 Searay 400 DA

[Product Image]

This is the Get~Aweigh III.  She's a 1998 Searay Sundancer 400 DA powered twin 454CID (7.4L) Mercruiser Mag MPI Horizon V-8's using V-Drives for propulsion.  She has closed cooling.  We usually cruise at 3500 RPM which gives us a speed of 23 - 25 MPH and a fuel draw of .8 MPG.  We carry about 300 gallons of fuel which gives us a range of 240 miles so we usually plan to refuel at 200 miles.

The boat came with the original Raymarine electronics, all of which were in perfect order, but we had them replaced with the latest Furuno gear including the NavNet vx2 network.  The charts are driven by C-Map Max with full coverage of the Great Lakes and Mississippi River to the Gulf, Tennessee River, etc included..  There are two displays ,both of which can show Digital Fishfinder, Chart Plotter, and/or 48 Mile Radar.  There is a triData display with SOG, Water Temp, and Depth.  An Autopilot completes the navigational set and an integrated VHF radiophone with DSC tied to the GPS completes the Furuno network.  For safety, there is a SeaKey monitoring and tracking system which acts much like OnStar in a vehicle.  Finally, there is a KVH satellite TV system with Direct TV capability.

The boat has lot's of space for cruising and entertaining.  There are two heads, one with a separate shower, two staterooms, both with solid doors that offer sufficient privacy for overnight guests.  The galley is equipped with a nice size refrigerator/freezer, built in blender, plenty of cabinet space, a large sink, and three burner electric stove.  Entertainment is provided by two television/VCR combos and a sound system with CD player.  The upper deck has loads of seating, an ice maker and sink and an electric hatch to get access to the engine compartment.

Description
Powerboat Guide Says: Long on styling and loaded with cruising amenities, the Sea Ray 400 Sundancer combines the key elements of an American express yacht including a large, comfortable cockpit and a spacious, well-appointed interior. She’s built on a deep-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, moderate beam, and prop pockets to reduce the shaft angles of her V-drive engines. The midcabin floorplan is arranged in the conventional manner with the owner’s stateroom forward, an open galley in the main cabin, and a mid-cabin stateroom lounge with a privacy door. Another desirable feature is a second head adjoining the mid-cabin. The forward head has a stall shower, and the level fit and finish throughout is another one of this Sea Ray’s impressive standards. Topside, the huge U-shaped cockpit lounge will seat a small crowd. The helm console – with its tiered instrument panel – is very well done. For engine access, the entire aft section of the cockpit sole raises up electrically without moving the aft seat. Foldaway boarding steps, a radar arch, and a transom door are also standard.
