Lake Erie

We'll be adding more info shortly.

Marina del Isle:  This was the marina we kept our boat in when we started boating on Lake Erie.  This has been a well kept marina, great staff, on site maintenance and storage, one of the best restaurants in the area, and only minutes to the lake from a protected harbor (East Harbor).  Acquired by Skipper Bud's in 2005, there have been some changes.  A new sales center, boaters lounge, etc. are some great improvements.  There has been a change in management.  The marina manager, Kathy is still there and is as helpful and attentive as always.  Kevin, the former service manager is no longer there but the new service manager, George seems quite competent and just as interested in providing good service.  We chose to leave because of interactions with Skipper Bud's corporate management.  They informed us that there would be a 25% fee added to any work we had done on our boat by people other than the Marina del Isle staff.  Any work, including detailing, canvas, electronics, etc.  That seemed to be unreasonable to us so we chose to leave.

Ladd's Marina:  We stayed here when we went to Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island.  The Marina is on the East end of the bay and has a great view of Perry's Monument and of the bay itself.  There's an excellent restaurant  (Ladd's Landing) with a super view and great service.

Leamington Municipal Marina:  We stayed here overnight when we visited Leamington, Ontario.  What a great marina...
