Welcome!

This is a web site devoted to boating and cruising the inland waterways of the US and the Great Lakes.  Our current boat is a Searay 400 Sundancer named the Get~Aweigh III.  For many years our home port was in Cincinnati Ohio on the mighty Ohio River at Four Seasons Marina.  A job transfer took us to Fort Wayne, Indiana and so we began boating the Great Lakes.  Our hailing port is Marblehead, Ohio and we keep our boat in a private slip in Bar Harbor.

Click on "Boats"  for information on various boats we've owned and on "Journals" for links to Videos with narrative and scenes from trips we've taken.  Some of the trips included trailering boats to a destination.  Others involved cruising via Rivers and Lakes...  All were enjoyable.

If you are considering similar "voyages", click on "Destinations" for notes of our experiences with marinas and other locations along the way or click "Feedback" and provide your comments as well.

If you have any input you'd like to share with others, let us know via the "Feedback" link.  Provide us with an email address and we'll contact you to get the information so we can include it on our site for the benefit of other fresh water travelers.

Fair Skies and Happy Cruising...

Jeff and Deb Marcum

the Crew of the Get~Aweigh III

Communities & Forums

Click on the Journals tab to view photos and videos of trips we've taken by boat.  We've traveled the Ohio River from Huntington, West Virginia to the Cumberland River,  spent time on Lake Barkley, Kentucky Lake, Lake Cumberland, Tablerock Lake, Mullet Lake, and Burt Lake.  We've cruised on Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Georgian Bay, the North Channel, and many smaller rivers and lakes.  Our trips have been on pontoon boats, cuddy cabins, and express cruisers.
